New Purglas Surf Series: The Purglas Slim Rod

In addition to the current Purglas CQX & CSX Executive range, a new Slim Rod has been developed for easier grip and more responsiveness in the tip. Good news is that it is still as robust and durable as the Purglas Executive range.

The Purglas Slim Rod range:

Purglas Carp 12’ & 13’ (2 piece)

The Purglas Carp 12 foot and 13 foot rod is stiff and rigid, but with responsiveness and tenacity that will keep every angler happy.  Extensively tested in the last 6 months with very long casting distances between 182 and 212 m. Choice of the Central Gauteng team at the national championships.

The Purglas Bass ultra light weight rod with its small guides throughout are super sensitive for sensing the lightest bite.  The light weight rod will also protect your wrist and ensure long hours of fishing enjoyment, but with the tenacity that will become evident with the first bite. The rod weighs in at a mere 140gr with a length of 195cm.

Purglas sponsors Francois Pienaar. Francois is the 2011 SA long casting champion and SA long casting record holder. He won 9 gold medals at the 2011 SA long casting championships. His SA record was achieved on a Purglas Executive CQX 400/7 standard. Purglas is now in the process of modifying and optimising the 400/7 for casting even further.
